Description koapa 2007-10-11 21:20:17 UTC
If I make graph, the cell selection gave me no selection. I can click what I
want, but nothing goes to the selection line. I must write the selection there
manually - what is really anoying.

On windows version is everything alright.

I cannot see that... checked on SUSE 10.2 Linux. I make a selection of cells in
a table in Writer, click "Insert.Object.Chart" and the correct selection is
transferred as data range to the chart creator.
Did I understand something wrong in your description?
BTW: do you work with the native builds from OOo site or the built-in version of
you Linux dist?
Comment 2 koapa 2007-10-12 18:11:03 UTC
I'm using the native version of OOo 2.3 (Slovak), because my distribution
(Fedora 7) haven't released this version.
The problem si in CALC, in Writer is everything OK.
I select insert - graph. Then I select graph type and click next. Now I have to
select the DATA RANGE. I click to button for the button selecting. Now I can
clik on anyone cell and nothing come to the Data range. It is simply clear.
On windows it works alright and on version OOo 2.2.1 too.

If it occurs in CALC, you should have selected "Spreadsheet" component...
Comment 4 frank 2007-10-15 09:54:17 UTC
wrong component, changed to Chart and re-assigned
Comment 5 frank 2007-10-15 14:52:23 UTC
@koapa

please don't mess around with assignments and components. This is clearly a
Chart related problem and therefore the Component has to be chart as well as the
qa contact has to stay on graphics.
