Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 102321
Labels on imported graphs display incorrectly
Last modified: 2014-02-28 11:30:46 UTC
Various graphs were create in Excel. When the xls file is opened in OpenOffice 3.1.0 the graphs do not display correctly. Z Axis not displayed correctly in 3D bar chart - labels are wrong. Legend not formatted correctly on line graph - shape of box is wrong (labels displayed in horizontal list rather than vertical list) and labels are wrong. See attached xls file for examples.

@DR: i think thats are known issues, right?
Raji Padmanabhan, 091709 Could successfully replicate the bug in Vista in build 3.1. Viewed the graphs created in MS Office Excel in OOo. The legend appears to be different in OOo. OOo scalc uses its convention for the legend. It does not retain the legend created in the original xls document created in MSOffice. In 2D also, it does not represent the negative values in the graph - basically in the 4th coordinate of the graph. The same issue can also be observed while opening the 3D graphs.Z Axis not displayed correctly in 3D. In bar charts - labels are wrong. See attached figures to see how OOo calc does not show negative values in the graph.

Raji Padmanabhan 091709 As a follow up test, created a chart in OOo scalc to see if the legend was being created. Find attached the document.

rpadmanabhan: There are difficulties to confirm your snapshots. Could you alter a MIME type of the snapshot files you had attached? I am not sure, but we have migrated our bug tracking system from IssueTracker to Bugzilla, so it seems possible to modify a MIME type any time. To alter it, probably, - click on the links named Details right next to the attachment. - fill the MIME type with image/jpeg, instead of text/plain - click on the button Submit Thanks in advance.
