Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 103363
Y axis scaling problem
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:18:59 UTC
When the minimum value of the y-axis of a scatter plot is manually set higher than the automatic minimum value the axis shortens to accommodate the higher minimum value and the graph area is offset. When the minimum value is set higher the graph should expand.

I do not understand, where you see an error. What do you mean saying "the graph area is offset" and "the graph should expand"? Please attach two pictures, one showing the chart as you see it with remarks what is wrong and one which explains how you expect the chart to be.
Please look at the test case I have attached to this bug. The left-hand graph shows the x-axis displaced vertically from the bottom of the graph area. The x-axis should be at the bottom and the scale of the y-axis should be expanded to be from 2e-11 to 6.5e-11 for the whole vertical graph area.. Also the right border of the graph area is only part-way up the side, it should extend to the top. When I change the scale of the graph I expect the curve to be expanded. The way it is now a lot of the graph area is wasted. I need the y-axis scale to expand to reveal details of the curves. I can't show the graph as I expect because OO will not do it. I have tried with another, more extreme example to illustrate what I mean. Please see example 2 attached. Basically, manual scaling of the y-axis does not work properly.

I get the problem now. It has nothing to do with manual scaling, but it comes along when using values near zero for the y-axis. Then the chart wall is drawn on a wrong position. In your case, change the values to E-009 size and you will see correct charts. This problem is known already traced in issue 99915. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 99915 ***
