Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10471
Chart 2D Lines does not scale correctly
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:18:48 UTC
In the example document, reachable at http://www.youatnotes.de/vmstat.sxc, I've inserted some data from a vmstat history. I've created a chart /(type 2D, lines) then for column A and E. The chart was created correctly, but much too smal. When I try to resize it, it scales miserably. The chart itself become a small line, the legend becomes big, the main title lays over the chart and so on.
Created attachment 4215 [details] The example document in which the problem can be reproduced.
I take it.
It´s not an defect it`s an enhancement.
Hi Bjoern, Julian are right, it looks not good. thomas
If x-axis labels take more space than three lines, they are truncated. However the space reserved under the axis is still as much as would be needed without truncation. This should be changed. If you rotate the labels by any amount (ne 0) the space is calculated correctly. This is how the 0 degree case should look like.
I can confirm that. If I create the chart without x-axis label, it sizes correctly. I'm looking forward to the fix in 1.1 Beta, until then I remove the x-axis label :-). Thanks for the fast support.
