Sophisticated charts difficult to create with Chart component, eg., multiple x.y
axes, overlapping charts, multiple graphs on same image, export of graph as sgl.

Irritations over font size / resizing in legend (issue 28670) very severe.

Graph-drawing software is available, eg., gnu-plot, ploticus, grace.

These offer more options.

Is it possible to offer plugins from OO to one or more of these tools?

Chart is adequate for most purposes, but not when a tailor-made diagram is needed.
