Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 113174
Chart with no preview is rendered incorrectly at first
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:22:39 UTC
I am creating presentation documents that have embedded charts that are generated programmatically. When I open the document, the chart is rendered incorrectly (wrong fonts, strange layout, etc.). If I double click on the chart to edit it, or if I do a PDF export, the charts are re-rendered, this time correctly.
Created attachment 70632 [details] Open this file and examine the charts; then double click to edit one or do a PDF export
I'd appreciate a comment on this bug. It would be nice if I didn't have to tell users "export it as PDF first" just so the document looks right.
Hi Iha, one for you. kla
Configuration: Windows 7 (x86); Intel Core i7 (@3.00GHz); 12.0GB Memory Open Office Version: OOO330m6 I was able to recreate this issue using the attached file. Step 1: Download attached file. Step 2: Open attached file, and examine. Step 3: Export to PDF and note the changes in Impress. Note: Double clicking a slide only re-renders that specific slide, the other slides still display incorrectly. I tested to see if viewing slide show (F5) corrects the issue, but it does not. I also tested if reloading (File -> Reload) the presentation corrects the issue, but it does not either. After exporting to PDF, the presentation will display correctly in Impress as well as in the created PDF file.
@hardcoder, the files are created wrongly. Please set a correct size within attributes svg:width and svg:height at element chart:chart. Be careful, omitting the values completely will produce empty charts with OOo version lower than OOo 3.2. Just for your notice, the created files can have some further cleanup. There are unused ole objects object 1 and object 2 and their unused ObjectReplacements.
