I've reproduce this behaviour on OpenOffice.org 3.2.0.
Running Win XP SP3.

Group objects and chart, the data disappears when you change the sheet name.

Steps to reproduce:
 1. Create a new chart.(ex:Column->Normal)
 2. Create a new Rectangle.
 3. Drag and Drop rectangle into the chart.
 4. Choose a chart and a rectangle.
 5. Go to menu Format-> Group-> Group
 6. Save and close the file, open it again.
 7. Rename the data sheet refer to the chart.(ex:Sheet1→test)
 8. Hold down the [Ctrl]key double-click on the chart.

I would't like to disappear even if you change the name of the data sheet.

I can confirm it on OOo 3.2.1.

On OOO330m8 the data not lost after renaming sheet, hard to enter into edit
mode, need several clicks, in and out. 
The chart transformed to chart object, which data source seen as  "Data Table",
similar to Impress or Writer inserted chart. 

I changed component to chart.

May be this caused by grouping Chart with object. 

Probably similar mechanism caused invisibility of form controls, see details in
issue 113730.

This seems to be fixed in OOo 3.3. Thomas, please verify in master.
