Hi,

The problem appeared after installing OpenOffice 3.4 on my Win7 machine:

When i copy any type of chart from Calc to Writer and paste it as a GDI Metafile or Star Object Descriptor (XML) i get the chart without any datapoints (chart has no graph) This was not a problem in OpenOffice 3.3. :?

It seems this is duplicate of Bug 118840.

Bug 118840 was reported back in January 2012. I thought it would be fixed by now and this bug was unrelated.

Indeed a duplicate. The other one has not been fixed yet.
You should vote for the other bug.
Strange that it has not been set as release blocker.
