Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11980
Chart titles behave weirdly
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:21:51 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1) Type some numbers into a spreadsheet and graph them. 2) Duplicate a chart title by Ctrl-dragging it somewhere else. 3) Editing the new copy of the chart title will change the original (!). Note that editing the original title will not affect the new copy. 4) After editing the new title, choosing Edit/Undo will change the first title text back to its original state, and leave the new title unchanged. 5) Attempting to delete the new title by clicking on it and pressing Delete will delete the original title but leave the new one. 6) Choosing Edit/Undo after "deleting" the new title will bring the original title back and delete the new one. Expected behaviour: The two chart titles can be altered independently. Observed on OpenOffice 1.0.2 on Windows 2000 and Linux. On a related note, there doesn't appear to be any way to add other labels or text to the chart other than duplicating the title. Should this be filed as a separate issue?

Hi Bjoern, one for you. tk
Drag & Drop copy should either not work or work like copy and paste, which pastes only metafiles and no drawing objects (like it seems currently to be the case for drag & drop).
There was some old code, that did a copy of objects, if on mouse-button up the Ctrl key was pressed. This is not identical to drag & drop, because this is activated by pressing and holding the mouse down for a while until the cursor changes. This feature is not available in charts. You can only do copy&paste, while paste inserts only meta-file objects.
