Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12459
Split-pie charts can lock into wrong-way split
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:19:14 UTC
I had problems with simple pie charts under 1.0.1 yesterday and many bugs seem to have been cleared now I have 1.0.2. However, (and I still can't get a feel for what's happening when size-adjusting 2d- & 3d-pies as the mad "always growing" behaviour of 1.0.1 has been reduced to what is probably practice & RTFM), when I get a split pie after having stretched and shaped the pie, I get the ability to ONLY move the slices towards and across each other rather than away and apart. I have a simple file showing this if required. regards, Mark
I take it

Created attachment 5228 [details] Example of wrong-way split
Hi Bjoern, one for you. tk
The problem in the example is that the text labels at the data points are quite long. If you widen the chart (in x-direction) in small steps, you will notice, that the pie will become smaller and smaller until it is almost invisible. After that, it becomes larger again, and then the orientation will be correct, i.e. moving the segments works in the expected way. We will improve this behaviour in the new chart implementation.
accepted (not started)
Please check this in the new implementation.

-> Björn: As the new chart will not make it for the next release, please have a look wether you can fix this in the old implementation. Thanks.
fixed. The chart now can no longer get a negative bounding-box. Additionally there is now a minimum size for a pie (1.5 cm) to avoid getting zero size charts when having large labels.
