The current implementation of sc allows for error bars to be computed
as the data set variance, standard deviation, a fixed percentage and
at a fixed offset. A feature available in a commercial wide-spread
windows application ubundantly used is to allow for error bars to be
specified in data columns. This allows for complete flexibility as the
user then can compute any error metric (s)he wants. Allowing for the
user to show min/max or percentile based error bars.

Just as for other data columns in a chart the user can specify a data column
specifying the offset for the upper and lower error bars respectively.

I wish I new how to implement this in OpenOffice, but I have no idea
how to understand the OObeta source I downloaded.

Hi Nils,

wrong component, I've corrected this.

Also this is on the enhancement list for the new Chart module which is
currently under development.

Please have a look at the following URL:
http://graphics.openoffice.org/chart/chart.html

I've to set it to Invalid as this fits best.

Frank
