Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16774
improve 3D pie slice enclosure
Last modified: 2013-09-25 20:42:01 UTC
In some operations involving the selection of a 3D pie chart slice, an enclosing rectangular prism (3D solid with rectangular sides) is drawn. This is plain ugly and could be very confusing for some pie slice shapes. I propose that the slice be outlined instead: highlight its visible boundaries with the background and with other slices. If you want to get fancy, you could also highlight the top edge wrapping around from behind, to get more of a 3D effect.

Hi bettina, one for you. tk
Yes, the enclosing rectangular prism at selecting a 3D pie slice should at least shown with its visible boundaries. Should be considered for OOo 2.0.
