Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18018
3D chart - manual setting of '3D VIEW'
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:20:11 UTC
In any 3D chart type embedded in any of OOo components (writer, calc or draw) information about 3D VIEW position which have been set manually, is not properly saved in document. Position set in this way(I mean manually entered degrees) appears until document is closed and saved. After reopening this document, 3D VIEW of embedded chart resets to default position or position set by rotating it with the mouse. This situation prevents from precision custom settings of 3d charts, which is very very necessary for me. Best regards
Hi Adam, the priorisation is much to high. P1 means the whole application can't be used. This is defenitly not the case. So I corrected this one. Hi Bjoern, it's one for you I think. Frank
->Armin: In the new chart implementation we will not rotate the camera but only the scene. That means there exists a (not necessarily unique) mapping from the rotation matrix (only rotations included) to the three rotation angles. Is that correct?
AW->BM: Yes, this is correct under the assumption of a defined order of that three rotations.
Ok, so this will probably get fixed by the chart-reimplementation.
I am not sure if this really 'fixes itself' through re-implementation of the chart. I would suggest to retarget this issue to "OOo Later", because I think we have to address much more important issues till OOo 2.0.
"According to the OpenOffice.org roadmap (http://tools.openoffice.org/releases) this issue was retargeted to OOo Later."
IHA->BM: I will take care of this issue.
Fixed in CWS chart2mst3 milestone 7
->Thomas, please verify.
changed target to 2.3
Information for 3D View seen ok in writer and impresss -> verified
It's OK for me with m213 -> I close this issue
