As a scientist, one issue that makes the OpenOffice.org spreadsheet less than
useful at work for me is the inability to specify the error bars on plots. I
usually calculate my own error bars for derived quantities. I would like the
spreadsheet to have the ability to plot X/Y error bars from columns in the
spreadsheet. I would be willing to work on this myself. I just need someone to
get me started by letting me know the right tools to use. (I have prior
experience in C/Java development using CVS.)
