Description panic 2003-09-09 14:20:13 UTC
writing scientifical text it would come handy,

a) if you somehow could ommit the caption entries for certain (still shown)
lines or symbols. something like a "show set in caption on/off-Button.

b) if you could "insert" formula objects into the captions of a Chart, next to
lines, symbols etc.
i got parameters like {%DELTA {overline G} sup E sub Mg} in my charts. Naming
something like this is very difficult by now. (no matter what software)

this is no "high priority task", just say "we work on it" and i sleep better
;)

Reassigned to Ingrid.

a) this is possible already. Select a single line or symbol and choose 'Object
Properties' in the context menu. Choose the tabpage Data Labels'. Here you can
select wether labels should be shown or not.

b) allow having formulas as series name or so might be a good idea, lets see
wether this issue gets some more votes. I changed the summery to state b) only.
Wether and how things can be done is not considered yet. But we should keep this
in mind.

I changed the summary again to 'display mathematical formulas in chart'. The
details how and where mathematical formulas can be added has still to be specified.

reset to new

I exceptionally close this older issue as duplicate to a newer one, because the
newer issue does properly concentrate on only one task and is easier to read
through. That might help to get more votes for it!
