direct chart activation (no double clicking for edit mode)
Last modified: 2013-09-25 20:42:06 UTC
Source: Dieter Loeschky Category: Charts Product Requirement: Chart: Object selection Customer Need/Problem: Selection of chart object must be more intuitive Product Concept: Currently, to interact with a chart in a spreadsheet you have to double-click on the whole chart. Then you have to click again on the object you want to select. These three clicks should be reduced to a single click. To achieve this, it is necessary to change the current selection-concept for all embedded objects. Also, the descision which object will be selected should be more intuitive. The quick-help should be the indicator. As an exception, when the quick-help shows a datapoint, the first click results in selecting the corresponding data series, and the second click selects the data point. In addition, the sensitive click-range for axis objectes should be extended to include the labels. Functional Specification: -
