Description scls19fr 2004-09-06 15:47:02 UTC
Hello,

I write you because when I make a plot using 2 columns
X Y
0 1
1 2
2 3

I select data (from X to 3)
Then I go to Insert/Diagram
Select First lign as label > Diag XY > > Title of graph
Title of X-axis is set to X (that's Ok)
But
Title of Y-axis is not set to Y but to "Title of axis Y"
Same with Z for a 3 columns data

Thanks

Yes, when creating a xy plot with one series only the offered default settings
in the wizard could be better than they are now.
Provided labels are given for x and y values I could imagine having the
following new defaults:
-- x-label as x-axis title as it is now
-- y-label as y-axis title
-- no main title
-- no legend

--> scls19fr: What would you expect to have for defaults if you create a xy plot
with more than one single series?

Yes that's difficult for an XY plot with more than one serie

X Y Z
0 1 1.5
1 2 2.5
2 3 3.5

When XY-plotting Y=f1(X) and Z=f2(X) the title should be

x-title : X
y-title : Y ; Z

user can change it if he doesn't like it but it is IMHO better than "Title of
axis Y"

Regards
