There should be a way to customize the data series in a chart without clicking 
on a certain one precisely using the mouse, right clicking and selecting the
edit option. This is very hard to get right, etc.

What should be done is that an option for this would be made available in the
menus and when clicking the Chart Area.

From where did you get your test version OOo 2.0? ;-)
