When you create a chart, the chart is placed on the data that you use for your
chart in stand of the position of the cursor.

I found what went wrong,
if you create a chart, calc ask you first to select a part of you sheet. This
part is where you chart will be placed. The part that you selected is also
filled in, in the Autoformat chart it shows that range in the field range. This
is a little confusion.
You can think that the wizard asks you to select the data range for the chart in
stand of the position where the chart will be placed.

The bug is that the range that you selected is filled in, in data range in the
Autochart wizzard. This field should be empty in my opinion.
