Description northwind_1980 2005-04-26 07:17:35 UTC
To recreate this bug:
Open OOo Calc.
Put one word per cell in A1, A2, A3, and A4.
Center the words in their cells.
Enter "1" in A2.
Enter "=A2+1" in A3 and copy A3 down the column to A101.
Enter "=SUM($A$2:A2)" in B2 and copy down the column to B101.
Enter "=((B3+1)/2)^2" in C2 and copy down the column to C101.
Enter "=(A2-A3)/(C2-C3)" in D2 and copy down the column to D101.
(The equations shouldn't matter, just as long as they are sufficiently
inter-related.)
Select the C column and give it a number format of 2 decimal places.
Select the D column and give it a number format of 8 decimal places.
Now highlight all cells that contain data and click on "Insert" then "Chart...".
Set it to chart the results in a new sheet, then click "Next".
Select the first format, which should be "Lines".
Click on "Show text elements in preview", then click "Next" and "Next" again.
Deselect "Chart Title" and click "Create".
Enlarge the chart so it covers from A to K and 1 to 32.
Bring up the object properties for the X-axis by first selecting it, then right
clicking.
Now click on the "Label" tab and watch the fun begin...
In the highly unlikely event that clicking on "Label" didn't crash Calc, go to
the "Font" tab and change the font type/size/style a couple of times.

My specific OS is Fedora Core 2 running on an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with 640Mb RAM
and 1.2Gb virtual memory.
