i've selected the data in the spreadsheet to create a chart.  i've selected the 
create a chart icon.  all steps to create a chart function until arriving at 
the final "create" button.  after selecting the "create" button, the program 
freezes, and the chart is not created.  i am unable to select another sheet or 
close the file.  only selecting control---alt---delete---end task gets me out 
of the sheet, but doing this precludes the chart's creation.

Unable to reproduce the problem both in OOo 1.1.4 and 1.9.122, under WinXP Pro
SP2. Even in the latest OOo version, graph creation seems to have no problems
like this, I created different kinds of graph easily. Check if yours has been
badly installed or if installation is corrupted.

wrong component, changed to Chart.

How many rows and columns are used to create the chart ?
