It is impossile to change a source of the data for a created chart. Whatever I
select, the Chart Data option stays unavailable. In the Help it says the following:

Opens the Chart Data dialog where you can edit the chart data.
The Chart Data dialog is not available if you insert a chart that is based on a
Calc sheet or on a Writer table.

But what else can you base on you chart if not a Calc sheet or a Writer table.

In which modul do you use the chart? Have you created it there or have you
copy&paste it?

I use it in Calc. The thing is that this Chart Data option is a bit confusing. I
was trying to modify a data range and later I found the way to do it
(right-click on the chart and select Modify Data Range from the menu). The
problen is that Modify Data Range option does not appear in the main menu, which
makes it difficult to find. It also is missing from Help, at least I was not
able to find it.

So the issue is solved. For improving the help, you might write a new issue.

You should use a newsgroup, a forum or a mailinglist for to make sure something
is really a defect.
