Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54918
new chart: provide 3D-Look conversion
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:19:29 UTC
example: a user wants to use simple 3D-Look for editing charts but realistic 3D-Look for releasing the document for this cases it would be quite useful to implement a functionality that can convert all charts in document to simple or realistic 3D-Look

Hi Peter, do you really think that this scenario is realistic? I am attempted to close this issue, as I doubt it to be really usefull. Thanks, Ingrid.
Hi Ingrid, I'm not sure about this feature and Thomas thinks wo do not need it. Maybe Mathias has some insights from SirValUse etc. that could help making a decission. Peter
iha->Matthias: I don't think that we need this. What are you thinking. Can I close it?
The usability tests provide no insights with respect to this issue. I assume OOo is a WYSIWYG editor. So what can be the reason to have different style between edit and final version of a document? Performance? Fix it! Bad visual quality on any of the predefined styles for charts? Fix it! But please do not implement simple work arounds. I can not see a valid user requirement.
closing issue, because I do not want to reopen it, set the owner to pj, set it to invalid again. Hope it's ok for you, Peter.
