Description paulway 2005-11-02 00:15:37 UTC
I'm working on a Calc spreadsheet with four data series of 65536 points, and
I've made a chart of these on a second sheet. Each time I resize the chart or
move the main body of the chart (causing the data lines to redraw), the chart
takes twenty seconds or more to redraw (on an Opteron 224) and during that time
the entire GNOME interface is frozen. I can't change windows or screens using
the mouse or keyboard, the cursor stays the same, and the focus doesn't change.
Other applications are able to continue in the background (top in a terminal
window keeps updating, xmms keeps playing music).

The spreadsheet can be found at http://biojanus.anu.edu.au/files/sample.odc

Attached document instead of making it available through URL.

Forgot to say that I'd tried to search through the issues database here and
googled elsewhere on the Internet, but nothing seemed to show up. I apologise
in advance if this is a duplicate of an existing issue.
