When I select a range of cells with some empty cells at the bottom of the range
then click on the "chart" icon, as expected, the chart data range is the whole
selected range (including the empty cells).

But if I right-click on the chart, select "Modify Data Range..." and enter a
range of cells with some empty cells at the bottom of the range, the chart data
range is the smallest range that includes all the non-empty cells.

This bug is fixed with the complete re-implementation of the chart module
starting with version SRC680m213.
The scenario to reproduce has changed slightly: You need to go to chart edit
mode for the range dialog and the context menu entry is called 'Data Ranges...' now.
