Description IngridvdM 2006-04-21 16:11:13 UTC
*Create a Column chart with categories and at least three series but without
series names in the new chart (disable checkbox 'First Row as label' in the data
range page)
*Open the Charttype dialog again and switch to xy and back to Column chart
-> You get more and more series the more often you switch from scatter to Column

Or open the attached document and switch the charttype between scatter and bar.

Maybe a hint: For the series there do not exsist label ranges in the range
dialog, which is also wrong.

Will have a look.
Comment 4 bjoern.milcke 2006-04-25 11:55:37 UTC
This is a bug. I suspect it, has to do with an error during range detection.
There seems to be an empty range-string in the "Data Range" tab-page of the
wizard. (see Issue 64697)
Comment 5 bjoern.milcke 2006-04-28 13:44:07 UTC
The check for two XLabeledDataSequences to be equal assumed that both have
values and labels. I changed the check, so that both, the labels and the values,
may also be empty (in both sequences) to be equal.

This fixes this bug, but when switching from scatter (only points) to another
scatter (points with lines), the categories get lost.
Comment 6 bjoern.milcke 2006-04-28 14:43:08 UTC
adapting XYDataInterpreter::reinterpretDataSeries() to the parked categories at
the XScale did the trick for the second problem.
