Description tony.galmiche.ooo 2006-04-27 10:18:38 UTC
Data editor in Chart module has limited functionality. A specification is
available for this enhancement:
-> http://specs.openoffice.org/chart/ChartDataDialog.odt

-> Björn, please take care of this issue.
Comment 2 bjoern.milcke 2006-05-18 10:39:06 UTC
->Pierre André: Thanks for writing a task for this. I already did some changes
locally (the screen-shot is almost no mock-up), but I wanted to review the spec
before doing any work for this. What do you think about the spec so far? Any
concerns or better sugestions?

pagalmes -> bm :

Here are some suggestions :

- arrangement of Y-values :

By now, you can only move Y-values to the left and rows to the bottom using one
of the button. It would be easier for the user to use the drag & drop to swwitch
or at least to add 2 more buttons : "move right" and "move up".

- Sorting :

It could be nice to have a sorting feature which could look like the sorting
feature of the Windows explorer. On it, you can sort the files/directories by
name, type... To sort, you just have to click on the small triangle and on the
label. To switch the sort between each column you can just click on the label
(Name, Type...).

- deleting several columns :

Would be nice to to be able to select several columns/lines to delete them at once.

- cerating several columns (really not very useful):

Could be nice to create several columns/lines at once (like in Calc).

I forgot to say, I really love the way the UI of the Apple software. Maybe we
could find a way to simplify the dialog :

- putting the colors on the same line the label is.
- Putting if the values are a column or a line at the bottom of the data area ??

What do you think ?
