I checked out 'ui/default_images/chart2/res/...' on 29/06/2006, 18:00 GMT (135
icons). These images were compressed by optimizing the png encoding parameters
(lossless). More details can be found under Issue 60791.

Some images were also tweaked by hand to reduce the number of palette entries:

In total, the files were reduced from 124kb to 53kb (43%). The attached files
are ready for CVS inclusion, although Issue 60479 means some transparency will
not be shown nicely by OOo (should be fixed for 2.0.4).

->Hi Kai, I am unsure with this issue.
One thing is that I have not the knowledge to consider the possible problems in
this area and the other thing is that local changes that I might check in will
be likely overwritten in future if Stella does change the iconset.
As the proposed image optimazition does affect the whole office in the end,
could you please take over for discussion. Thanks a lot!

The only icons affected are clearly those for 'Chart2'. In a similar way, I have
had optimized graphics incorporated (Issue 66839 and Kendy's work with CWS icons01).

Hi, it's great to see Chart2 progressing towards 2.3.
Now we have a complete icons set, I have optimized the latest icons (checked out
from 680m214) and assigned to Stella for approval. As always, there are no
design changes- just optimization of the png 'code' (192->79.6kB ~41% of
original). This will save ~0.5MB per download (for the 5x icon themes)... for
50K downloads that's  24GB! :-)

This issue is closed automatically and wasn't rechecked in a current version of
OOo. The fixed issue should be integrated in OOo since more than half a year. If
you think this issue isn't fixed in a current version (OOo 3.1), please reopen
it and change the field 'Target Milestone' accordingly.
