Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67464
Rounded values for a chart in Writer lead to errors
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:22:04 UTC
Steps to reproduce the error: * create a chart in Calc and use values between .0020 and .0025 for the x-axis * copy and paste the chart into Writer Result: * the resolution of the x-axis is very high and all values on the axis are 0 * after saving and reopening the document, there is only the first and the last value (.0020 and .0025) on the x-axis and there's no fragmentation at all Hint: * when I look at the values used for the chart in Writer, they are all rounded down to 0 for the x-axis
When I do as you said, I get "0" in the Calc sheet, because the default format has not enough decimal places. So, the chart (XY-chart, that's what you mean, isn't it?) in Calc also gets "0", which is correct, because it uses the same number format as Calc. When I change the number format in Calc, so that I see 4 decimal places, the chart also uses this format (you have to press F9 for an update or change a value to see this, though). After pasting in Writer it looks the same as before. BTW., the values in writer are probably not rounded to 0, but only formatted with a number format that shows them as 0. Otherwise all data points would be displayed at the same x-location.
I'm also cannot reproduce this. Pls attach the docs.
@michael: please attach the document. Thx

Sorry, I was on holidays. Here are the documents: I tried to copy the chart "Regression Benzoesäure" from "Tabelle.ods" into "Dokument.odt" at page 6.
Created attachment 38448 [details] Dokument.odt
Created attachment 38449 [details] Tabelle.ods
Pls read the comment from bm again. The behaviour is correct. The number format into the calc shows five decimal places into the writer only 2. Change them maybe to five and you will get what you expected.
