While changing pie chart colors, Open Office crashes.  In a multisheet Calc spreadsheet, I created charts 
on separate sheets, transferring columns of information from one sheet to another.  I highlighted 
columns in Sheet 3_2 then clicked copy in toolbox,  pasted from toolbox into other sheets to create pie 
charts.

Then highlighted the two columns A and B, then clicked on the menu bar insert => chart,  went 
through creating chart, altered size of chart, then clicked on wedge of pie chart to change color.  At this 
point, Open Office would crash. Sometimes it would crash after having changed the colors.  I had saved 
the spreadsheets as .xls files.

After crashing, Open Office would reopen and 'recover' the files.  The information in spreadsheets 
would be normal, but charts would vanish (only display the title and a blank chart background) or 
display generic bar graph.  

Please help, this is quite frustrating.

I test on Win Xp ooo 2.1. and no crash. but reporter report it using mac

please install the latest release of OpenOffice.org:mac which is in English language the 2.1 which works 
fine on that operations you did. If not, let us know more about your Mac environment.
