When creating a new chart from a writer table the chart wizard should not hide
the chart preview. Please set a suitable position for the chart wizard.
The chart2 wizard does offer XPropertySet. Here you can ask for the size of the
dialog and set a position. You can grep for
com.sun.star.comp.chart2.WizardDialog in sc to see an example.

Partly fixed in CWS chart2mst3 milestone10.
It works if you have the document in full screen view. But if not, the wizard
dialogs position is currently restricted to the document window. That is it
moves not out of the way of the chart object if you corner the document window
e.g. in the lower right. Now it is likely to hide the chart or all of the
remaining visible document.
