Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71894
new chart: Cannot select multiple range starting from minimized chart dialog
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:22:32 UTC
Open a spreadsheet with some data in some rows and columns like that of attachment to issue 71893. Start Chart Wizard without having any data range selected. Go to Step 2 an minimize the dialog with the button "select data range". Now try to mark A1:A6;C1:F6. It is not possible, because immediately when you release the mouse button, the dialog is maximized. In the current chart module the dialog maximized only, if you click the minimize-button again, so you can select multiple ranges without problem.
Works for me; OOodev 2.1 m3: Use Ctrl-Shift while selecting the 2nd range.
This about the new chart module in testversion milestone9b, build 9077 CWS:chart2mst3
There is a possibility to multi-select. We haven't specified this yet, as this is quite new: 1. Select the first range A1:A6 2. Open the dialog again. You notice that A1:A6 is selected. Remove the selection and add a semicolon at the end. 3. Select the second range C1:F6 => It is appended. I think the behaviour for multi-selcetion was similar in the old chart's dialog (Modify Data Range). I'll take this issue as a reminder to add this to the specification.
Changed Target, type and accepted.
Added the description to the spec (see URL field).
Reopening to use this as a task for adding the description to the online-help
Please add the description how to do a multi-selection to the online-help for the range-chooser buttons (see specification in the URL given in this issue).
will add this info to schart/01/wiz_data_range.xhp and schart/01/wiz_data_series.xhp in cws chart2mst3
Changed two files in cws chart2mst3 as suggested
changed target to 2.3
Please verify these new texts in CWS chart2mst3. Open chart help, wizard pages for data ranges and data series. Find info how to multiselect
