Create a Barchart
Open Insert-Grid Dialog
Its possible to set minor Grids for the Category Axis
That must be greyed out.

Maybe I haven't made myself clear enough. 

If you haven't set any MAJOR grid you are able to set the MINOR one. 

Now, after the fix, you can not set at any time the minor grid of X and Z axis
(I haven't found a way, neither with 2D or 3D charts).

But also the bug is there that it is possible to set the MINOR Y-grid but not
setting the MAJOR Y-grid.

Solution suggestion: Best would be to enable only the MINOR grids if the MAJOR
grid is enabled.

Some further investigations revealed that in fact for 3D the old chart had minor
grids also for category axis. So we need to enable them again, otherwise we
loose a feature from the old chart.
So, the real error in the new chart was, that the minor grids were not displayed
for category axes. I changed the summary accordingly.
The additional error in the old chart was that the minor grids for 2D category
axis were displayed at the same position as the major grids.

I'll take this back to correct both and enable the minor grid check boxes again.

Fixed in CWS chart2mst3. Thomas, please verify that minor grids on category axis
are now visible when inserted. There are remaining separat issues:
issue 64270  Missing sub grid lines on the main grid values when main grid is off
issue 26497 Tickmarks not at the correct position
