Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 74799
new chart : pasting a chart from calc to writer (m11) and open it with writer 2.1
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:20:01 UTC
Using OOo 2.1: On the X axis on a chart in Calc, I put the text at 90°. Then I paste the result in writer as an OLE object (ctrl+C/ctrl+V). The chart in writer doesn't look the same. See screenshot. Thus, once under Writer, I need to modify the chart to make it look ok. Those, when I send the document to people using OOo 2.1, the result is correct. Using OOo chart2 m11: On the X axis on a chart in Calc, I put the text at 90°. Then I paste the result in writer as an OLE object (ctrl+C/ctrl+V). The chart in writer is exactly the same. See screenshot. Now, when I open the document in Writer 2.1 or before, the result looks bad as in the first screenshot. That's an issue, because that means that creating docs with new chart and sending them to people using the old chart will produce a difference in the look of the charts.
Created attachment 43307 [details] The chart under OOo with old chart
Created attachment 43308 [details] The chart un writer with chart2 m11
Created attachment 43309 [details] the chart under calc
Created attachment 43310 [details] the chart pasted under writer
I'll take over.
Fixed in CWS chart2mst3.
->Thomas, please verify in Milestone 11_1. How To check: Open the attached chart.ods with the new chart. Copy and Paste the contained chart to a new writer document. Save and open with the old chart. The x axis labels should look ok (axis 'break' should be of).
Seen ok in mst11_1 -> verified
