Choose a Number Format and check the Source Format Option 
Ok
Open again The Numbers Tabpage -> The manual adjustment of the Number Format are
gone

Note: As far as I understood kla, the problem is not that a number format is not
preserved, but the fact that the automatically selected number format is not
selected in the disabled controls. Thus, when you uncheck the "Source Format"
check-box, you get "Standard" instead of the format used previously (the one
coming from the "source").

locally fixed
Now the automatic detected numberformat is displayed correclty when you open the
dialog while 'source format' is on.
