Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:27:52 UTC
I make a word document, then insert a OLE spreedsheet. after that,it's impossible to make chart from the data contain in the spreedcheet componement.
Hi Falko, one for you. tk
Set to "NEW"
It makes sense to allow Chart OLE object to receive their data from various sources. Example: Inser a chart into a Writer doc. The values for this Chart should could come from within Writer tables (works already) or from an external source (Calc, database etc).

Hello Björn, please give approval for this evaluated OO.o 2.0 flagged issue. If you confirm with the target OO.o 2.0, then please keep it on your owner (or the owner of the concerning developer) for implementation. In case you want this issue for 'OOo Later', then please reset the target milestone. If you decline the issue finally, please set the resolution to 'Wontfix' (but do not close). In case of 'OOo Later' or 'Wontfix' please reset it on Bettina's owner. Thank you.
-> remisoft: I presume you mean Writer instead of Word, because we don't fix Word bugs ;-) I think the problem is mainly that we generally do not allow inplace-editing of OLE-objects (the Chart) inside other OLE-objects (the Calc inside the Writer document). ->Mathias: Will this be possible for OOo 2.0, or not. In case it will not, please retarget and set back to Bettina.
Currently we don't know if it will work. We will decide that later when the InPlace feature is ready.
Due to missing resources, we have decided to shift this feature to OOo later.
