Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78615
Automatic symbol size different for loaded charts
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:21:15 UTC
follow up issue for i68041 If I use Icon > Select > Symbols the default value is 0,25cm. If I use Icon > Select > Automatic, the value is 0,22cm. Shouldn't it be the same? If I open an old chart, which has set the symbol to Automatic, the new size in chart2 is 0,25cm. I use OOo680m213 on WinXP.
These are two issues. If they are related enough to fix them together, I will. Otherwise I will open another one for the auto/non-auto mismatch. The wrong size for auto-size of loaded files is more important.
->iha: passing to you, as you are working on this.
set target to 2.4 due to limited resources
changing target to 2.3
added keyword regression
Fixed in CWS chart12

I fixed the problem with the wrong symbol sizes for loaded charts. Load the attached example document AutomaticSymbolSizes.ods and press F9. The symbol sizes should be the same (or very similar) to how it looks in OOo 2.2. There are rare cases of old chart documents were a concrete symbol size is written to the file that differs from the size visible in the old chart. For those cases I take the size from the file for ODF conformity, because there the old chart is buggy. If no size is given the automatic symbol size is calculated depending on the character size of the legend if a legend is visible, otherwise the automatic symbolsize is dependent on the diagram height. ->fst. please verify in CWS chart12.
