Description bluedwarf 2007-09-08 13:13:21 UTC
Smooth Lines dialog is too small to set "Resolution" and "Data points order"
properties. The right spin boxes are hidden. Additionaly, we can't change the
dialog size manually. We can't set those two properties correctly.

This problem occurs, at least, on Windows XP with 2.3.0 RC1 Japanese localized
version.
The binary was downloaded from here;
ftp://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/OpenOffice.org/extended/2.3.0rc1/OOo_2.3.0rc1_20070831_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_ja.exe

The screenshot of this dialog will be attached soon.

I confirmed that 2.3.0 RC2 [680m4(Build:9219)] still has the same problem, which
is available from here;
http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/OpenOffice/extended/2.3.0rc2/OOo_2.3.0rc2_20070905_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_ja.exe

As to new release of 2.3.0, it is a serious problem, isn't it?

patch that changes size of dialog
Comment 4 curvirgo 2007-09-09 01:06:11 UTC
When the size is changed like the attached patch file, the size of the dialog
becomes a just good width.

Hi Iha:
pls have a look.

In the past when designing a UI, I have been told not to put two controls on the
same line precisely because of this type of localization issue (a phrase that is
short in English may be 10x long in certain locales). Would it be appropriate
to move those controls on the right side of the vertical separator below the
controls on the left?
