Description rafaelda 2007-10-31 06:49:24 UTC
I'm using BROffice 2.3.
When opening an spreadsheet made in Excel 97, Calc displays the 3D chart in a
strange way: some of the lines that made each bars' countour are thicker than
others.
They all should be thin beacause it's more elegant.
Maybe it's related to issue 82871.
See the screenshot.

Would you mind to attach the Excel or Calc document itself, so I can have a
closer look? Thanks in advance.

I changed the values of the spreadsheet to keep privacy but you still can see
the differences in the thickness of the lines in this new spreadsheet.
Almost all lines are thick but there are some thin lines:
Janeiro - between pink and cream; between yellow and light green
Fevereiro - between pink and cream
Junho - between cream and yellow
Julho - between yellow and light green
Setembro - between yellow and light green
The botton sides of the following bars: Janeiro, Maio, Junho, Julho
The top side of Maio bar.

->rafaelda, thanks for the example document. I fear the reason for the problem
is issue 71618. There are problems with thick lines on 3D objects. As a
workaround you can set the width of all the border lines of the series to zero.
I'll attach the changed document.

->Daniel, I doubt that issue 71618 will be fixed that soon. So to avoid that
ugly problems with thick lines on 3D objects in general, I would like to beg you
to always set the line width to zero when importing 3D charts from excel if
possible. At least the thinest lines in excel should become hairlines I think.
Thanks a lot!

fixed in SRC680/dr58 (OOo 2.4)
on import of 3D line/bar/pie charts the borders of the data points are
restricted to hair lines.
