Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 85853
wrong data labels
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:18:50 UTC
Data labels wrong in bar charts depending on the values to be displayed How to reproduce: open a new spreadsheet, enter values 100, 100, 90 in cells a1-a3, mark these 3 cells, click on chart, click on finish, right-click on one of the columns, Object properties, goto "Data Labels" tab and select "show value", as number, click OK. What is being shown as value is 16, 16, 6, which happens to be the difference between the actual data value and the selected y-axis minimum. If you explicitly set the minimum of the y-axis on anything different than 0, you also can see the error easily. So instead of displaying the data label it displays the value of a difference to the y-axis minimum. This error shows up for column, columns and line and bar charts, all the other chart types seem to be ok.

This problem was already reported with issue 84392. It will be fixed in the coming OOo 2.4. If you like you can download a developer snapshot version where the fix is included already: http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html?intcmp=1235 You will need to activate the chart once thus a corrected image can be created. Thanks for the report! *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 84392 ***
