Create a pie chart in calc,
save the document as Windows Excel 2000 .xls
open document in excel 2003,
The pie chart has lost its color wheel. All segments have uniform the color of
the first segment.

I attached a file demonstrating the issue. The file has been created by OOo
2.4.1 and saved as .xls 2000

It also shows a curious workaround. If I change the color of a couple of
segments, then Excel recognizes the intended colors.

yes, that is a known problem with our pie/doughnut charts which do automatic
point formatting internally.

fixed in DEV300/dr63 (OOo 3.1)

DR->OC: note that this is *not* reproducible with charts loaded from ODS (while
loading from XML, our Chart sets all point colors separately). It can be
reproduced with a freshly created chart only.

Affected are pie charts and doughnut charts.
