Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9885
hide entries in legend
Last modified: 2013-09-25 20:41:52 UTC
I am creating graphs from a spreadsheet (data series in rows). Since I have numerous rows, I don't want them all to appear in the legend, but only some of them. In other Office versions ;) you can remove the labels individually (which isn't very elegant), it would be nicer to be able to select for each dataset whether you want the label to be added in the legend. I hope I have made it clear what I mean. Thanks for all your work... Mathis mathis@heydtmann.de

The deletion of single legend entries is a missing feature which we should introduce. How the feature should be offered at the gui has to be defined still.

->bm: Please take care of this. Thanks.
Now the new chart has landed, so it would be really nice to have this issue. One of the usage cases is adding regression lines, but not wanting them to be displayed in the legend.
I agree; this would be a useful, though minor, enhancement. Just ran into that same situation myself. Good clean charts: fewer words.
