Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 102428
x values are wrong in xy-scatter-chart with own data table if empty cells are contained in x values
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:19:40 UTC
I checked with "Ooo 3.1.0 WIN XP multilingual version German UI activated [OOO310m11 (Build 9399)]" and saw, that chart date axis destroyed in PDF export and printout with HP OJ6110 Steps to reproduce: 1. open "sample1.odf" from test kit 2. Menu 'File - Export as PDF expected: chart should show time range 04:48 ... 10:48 actual: all x-axis values are 00:00:00, graphic is crunched horizontally (as you see in "sample1.PDF") Print of the same document with "2.4.1 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]" works fine
I forgot to mention: print preview looks normal.

confirmed
pl->iha: that would seem to be a chart problem
This is nothing special about the pdf export. The problem can be seen also when double clicking the chart. This seems also to be broken by fix for issue 71686. A similar problem is issue 101968. @weiz, please have a look.
The problem disappears after the empty row "Zeile 11" and following have been deleted in chart data table. No Idea how those rows have been created.

Empty cells in the charts data table are wrongly taken as text content. Together with the problematic fix of issue 71686 this causes wrong x-values.
weiz, as discussed in our weekly IRC chat I take this issue back for fixing.
Fixed in CWS chart39.
Created attachment 63302 [details] how it should look like
@Sophie, please verify in CWS chart39. Thanks, Ingrid! Load the document sample1.odt attached within testkit.zip. Double click the chart and look at the x-axis. It should display time values from 4:48 to 10:48 and not all 0:00. Also the data series have a different trend. Document sample1.pdf shows how it should not look like. Document sample1_CorrectDisplay.pdf shows how it should look like.
Verified in CWS chart39 - time values are displayed correctly and trend also after editing. Sophie
Verified in DEV300m54 under .deb version - Closing - Sophie
