Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12581
customizable chart defaults
Last modified: 2020-04-16 22:23:08 UTC
A useful enhancement would be the ability for a user to define specific default chart characteristics, such as background colour, gridline properties, chart type, etc. Currently it is only possible to alter the general colours used for default charts.
I take it.
It´s not an enhancement, it´s an support request. For further information please use only the Mailinglists. Tip: Under Menue-Format-Chart Wall or Chart Area-Tabpage Area you will find something about background... Maybe it helps you have a look into the helpsystem.

Dear Thomas, I apologise for not explaining the issue clearly last time, but it is not a simple support request. The issue is to establish new default chart characteristics which will then ALWAYS appear in a new default chart, not just to modify a particular chart so that it is different from the default. I am not interested in support, I am trying to be helpful. Vincent
Hi Vincent, yes, you can beleve you are helpful. But your issue sounds like you doesn't found the Menue to work on the chart. (So you see you help me for better understanding by myself.) What are you expected? An Autopilot, hm it's certain possible. Or what you are mean?
Hi Bettina, one for you. tk

Reassigned to Ingrid.
I think this feature would be a great help for users who create many charts typically. Thanks.

(don't forget color and appearance for grids, axes and raster lines (Please make different settings for the different types of diagrams)
(I mean that each diagram type has it's own settings.)
issue 82757 is also a duplicate (Don't forget extra space on xy(z)-axes, make it also customizable in chart settings.)
->dudson, issue 82757 is unrelated. The second thing (customizeable space for axes labels) is a different and new feature addressed within issue 64705.
reset to new
Yes : either through a dialog, parameters or STYLES (the latest being to me the most elegant way of doing this concerning fonts and colour attributes). I vote for this issue...
I think it's the same Issue like: 36672
