Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26869
make major interval for logarithmic scales useable
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:20:07 UTC
If the Logarithmic Scale is selected (Tabpage Scale of an selected Axis) they are an different behavior between Chart1 and Chart2: Its possible to edit the Major interval, and the Axis at selection.

Two things have changed: 1. The major interval for logarithmic scales can now be changed by the user. 2. The displayed value for the major interval has changed to a reasonable value. What now is displayed is the difference between two major ticks after scaling. That means log(x2) - log (x1) = major interval, where x1 is one major tick and x2 is the next one. For example typically you want to have major tickmarks at 1, 10 ,100, 1000 and so on. In the old chart the displayed value for the major interval was 10, what was no reasonable value at all. Now it is 1, because of: log(100) - log (10) = 1. What we still need is to check wether this new value is properly saved and loaded and in addition we may need a specification.
