Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 51213
Formatting axes: dates under "scale" reset to number-format when user-defined date format is created under "numbers"
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:22:24 UTC
Using an x-y chart created from two columns; date and bodyweight Date in spreadsheet is in user-defined format (YYYY-MM-DD-NN) Left and right-click chart and select "edit" Format|Axis|X Axis Tab: "Scale" - date shows in date format Tab: "Numbers" Start selecting a user-defined date format MMM-DD Left-hand column highlight jumps to "user-defined" Finish entering user-defined date format "OK" to save setting Format|Axis|X Axis Tab: "Numbers" Left-hand column now has "date" hightlighted, rather than "user-defined" but "user-defined" is written under the selection panel in which MMM-DD has been entered Tab: "Scale" - date now shows in number format rather than in date format
Wrong component, changed to Chart and re-assigned

Sorry, this issue is not a duplicate of Issue 28503. But the wrong use of numberformats for the display of values in the scale tab page is fixed in the coming version of OpenOffice.org (see for exmpla the SnapShot build 1.9.m118 at http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html ). The hightlighting of "date" in the categories list on the number tabpage is intended if a userdefined format is selected that fits the criteria to be a 'date' format.

I take over to check later
We have a new chart. Is this still an issue? Else it is better to close...
Hm, yes, with a user defined date format this issue still exist (SRC680m219)
Created attachment 46897 [details] example
changing target
This seems to be fixed already in the current master. A data format now is offered for input. I tested src680.m238. I assume that it was fixed along with issue 56524 and issue 81259 in CWS chart11 integrated into SRC680.m226.
->Thomas, please verify in current master.
Seen ok in current master
